How to study online?

The Event Management Course is delivered online and consists of 12 modules and 12 assignments. The course is designed to be self-paced. Students enrolled in the course are provided with 12 months to complete it. Extensions can be purchased if extra time is required.

The modules are designed to be read sequentially and will help build your knowledge to enable you to plan, design, and manage events.

There are exercises at the end of each module which require you to complete various tasks in real-life scenarios related to event management. This participation and interaction will build confidence and help you develop your professional event management skills.

Each student will be given the same event management tasks that will require them to prepare event budgets, manage important documents such as timelines and contracts, gather vendor quotes, plan food and beverage service, conduct a venue site visit, plan seating arrangements, get creative with event décor, and explore event design.

Each assignment throughout our course will be hypothetical with the intention to set you up for success in the real world of events.

Getting Started

When you enrol, you will receive a username and password that enables you to log onto our secure student site. From there, you can download your first module, which you could liken to a digital textbook as it contains all the information you will need to complete assignment one. Each module is approximately 90 pages in length and is full of detailed information delivered in an approachable format that breaks down concepts to make them easy to understand. The concepts are further explained by way of images and examples.

Once you have completed your assignment (some are just theoretical, but others combine theory and practical tasks) you then upload this onto our site for your tutor to mark. The tutors will give you a grade (out of 10) and a personalized evaluation of your work as well as ideas to help nurture and improve your knowledge each step of the way.
